Personal Info

Graduated in physics in 1983, he cancelled his dissertation on solid state physics to devote to alternative energies. In 1986, after the nuclear disaster of Chernobyl, he summoned some colleagues from university to found an institute for radiation measurement. Additionally to that he began to work for better energy systems.

For the last 20 years his main focus has become bioenergy. As head of the bioenergy department of ABO Wind, an international project developer for renewable energies, he was responsible for biogas and wood-fired cogeneration projects. He worked for international projects in developing countries (Ecuador, Mexico and Vietnam), but as the director of a renewable energy association at Wiesbaden, he is also engaged in local grass-root activities.

Knowing that not printed paper but real measures reduce carbon emissions, his aim is to contribute to local and global energy transition with a straightforward approach, high technical and scientific experience, economic expertise, communication skills and, last but not least, patience.
